LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--A Lowndes County man, who Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents say pointed a weapon at deputies, is now being charged with three counts of aggravated assault against a police officer.

On December 19, the GBI says Ssgt. Charles McEady, Sgt. Keith Jackson, and David Bertsch responded to a call at Thomas George Joslyn's home on Cranston Circle.

Deputies say Josyln was threatening to kill himself. The GBI says he pointed a weapon at the deputies.

Ssgt. Charles McEady then shot Joslyn in the leg. Joslyn was treated at South Georgia Medical Center. He's now in the Lowndes County Jail.
