VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - A Lowndes County Jail inmate is dead after collapsing while in a cell block.
William T. Reynolds, 63, died Thursday after being jailed Wednesday on a probation violation, Lowndes County Sheriff Ashley Paulk.
The sheriff said Reynolds collapsed while in a cell block with other inmates and authorities responded by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
He says the death appeared to be from natural causes.
Reynolds' body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab.
