LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WTXL) - Deputies arrested a man after they found 86 grams of cocaine along with other packaged illegal drugs and a stolen handgun inside his car.
Lowndes County Sheriff's Office arrested 36-Year-Old Crontis Cobb was arrested Friday afternoon during a traffic stop.
Deputies said they were looking out for a car after they received a tip that the driver had been in a dispute and supposedly had a gun. They spotted a car on Highway 84 near Smith Street and noticed the car had excessively dark window tint.
After stopping the car, the began speaking with the driver, Cobb, and immediately noticed the smell of weed wafting from inside the car. Deputies also said they learned that he had an outstanding warrant.
Once deputies arrested Cobb, they searched the car and found a stolen handgun, 86 grams of cocaine, 16 grams of crack, 8 grams of meth, and 21 grams of weed. Deputies said all of the drugs were packaged as if they were meant to sold.
He was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana and meth, and other charges related to the crime.
Cobb was taken to the Lowndes County Jail. His bond will be considered in a hearing on Monday.
