LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Lowndes County School Superintendent Wes Taylor announces a new safety measure system that will be taken up in the coming school year.

The county has hired two new officers for Lowndes High School.

Taylor also recognized the system's effort to reduce bullying and improve discipline both in the building and on the bus.

Safety Coordinator Steve Coleman says that next year the system would implement teaching behind locked doors.
