VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - A man is under arrest after allegedly pointing a gun at a 17-year-old while she was in her car.

According to the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, a 17-year-old was on Good Hope Road on April 9 around 6 p.m. when she said a black PT Cruiser pulled out in front of her. The victim reportedly stopped to avoid the crash.

That's when deputies said a male began shouting at her, pointed a firearm at the victim and continued to made threats. She reportedly drove away and contacted police.

Thursday afternoon, deputies said they noticed a PT Cruiser in the same area, matching the description. Deputies reportedly pulled it over and noticed the driver, 46-year-old Joshua Darling, had two handguns next to him. After investigating, deputies determined they were BB guns.

Darling was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He was arraigned Monday and is currently in the Lowndes County Jail.

Darling is also listed as a registered sex offender residing in Lowndes County.
