LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Officials say all schools in Lowndes County will remain closed on Wednesday.
LaVerne Rome with Lowndes County Schools says \schools and system offices will remain closed Wednesday.
They say they made the decision based on the 19,000 homes in the county that are still without power.
Officials say some of the Lowndes County schools are also without power.
They say they will remain in contact with local EMA and keep parents updated.
