LOWNDES CO., Ga. (WTXL) - Lowndes County investigators arrest a man, they say, pointed a shotgun at his estranged wife in front of a child.

The victim says on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at approximately 10:00 p.m., her estranged husband, William Marvin Wilson, came into her home on Island Drive and pointed a shotgun at her, a child and a man who was in the home. The victim claims she grabbed the shotgun and began wrestling with Wilson, and he finally ran out of the house with the shotgun.

Deputies and investigators were unable to locate Wilson until about 3:30 p.m. on Monday, when they say he came out of the woods near the home.

Wilson was taken to the Lowndes County jail and booked on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and cruelty to children. He will go before a judge tomorrow.

Investigators are continuing to investigate and additional charges are likely.
