Tallahassee, FL (WTXL)-- Gas prices continue to fall nationally and Tallahassee is benefiting from the trend.
This month on average prices have fallen $4.3 cents per gallon in the past week with average prices reaching about $3.20 a gallon according to an estimate on GasBuddy.com that surveyed 201 gas outlets.
Some Tallahassee residents took advantage of the drop in prices today at a local station that boasted prices under three dollars. According to one of the men filling up his tank, he hasn't seen prices this low in years.
"My friend told me the gas was $2.95 so I decided to come out here and see and decided to fill my car tank up. That's the best price I've seen in Tallahassee so far."
The GasBuddy.com report also says prices yesterday were $5.6 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are $12.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
