TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Here's a list of kid-friendly haunts ahead of Halloween:
Unique Wonders (Tallahassee)
Unique Wonders on Lake Bradford Road is hosting its second annual haunted museum.
There's an area for kids to trick or treat safely and of course walk through the haunted museum. It all costs $7 to have fun and that money goes towards kids living in children's homes in Tallahassee.
The scares begin at 6 p.m.
Generations Church Fall Festival (Tallahassee)
The event will be Sunday, Oct. 29, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, at 3080 W. Tennessee St. in Tallahassee, FL 32304.
Evangel Assembly of God (Tallahassee)
The Family Fall Fest will be Sunday, Oct. 29, from 6 pm to 8 pm. There will be inflatable games, Trunk or Treat, refreshments, free candy, popcorn, face painting and more. Evangel Assembly of God is at 2300 Old Bainbridge Rd. Call 385-1815 for more information.
Tallahassee Museum
Halloween Howl 2017, an event for all ages, features hours of fun activities for children, but the haunted trail is said to have "scenes that will scare the socks off older kids and adults." The Halloween Howl will be Friday, October, 27, and Saturday, October 28, at 10 pm. Information about ticket prices and other Halloween-themed events can be found at their site.
Terror of Tallahassee Haunted House (Tallahassee)
The haunted house costs $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 or under. Its at 1408 Lake Bradford Road. You can wear your Halloween costumes but not your masks because it is dark and you don't want your view obstructed. It will be open Halloween day from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
Leon County Sheriff's Office (Tallahassee)
Trick or Treat with Deputies on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2 pm - 6 pm at the Governor's Square Mall parking lot between Dillard's and JC Penney. Come out and meet some of the Leon County Sheriff's Office special teams and K-9s. Costume contest will be at 3:30 pm. Winners will receive gift certificates. Candy will be given out and fun activities will be held. Children will receive free safety lights.
Lafayette Arts & Crafts Center (Tallahassee)
Learn how to carve pumpkins. Bring your own pumpkin and your enthusiasm, and they'll provide tools, patterns and instruction during the fun, family event. The cost is $5 for children age 7 and up. The event will be Saturday, October 28, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the center, 501 Ingleside Drive.
Trunk or Treat by Florida A&M University Athletics (Tallahassee)
Children from the community are invited to "Trunk or Treat" with Florida A&M student-athletes and student organizations on Friday, Oct. 27, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Kids can bring their costumes to have fun in a safe and friendly place and check out the volleyball game FAMU vs South Carolina State game at 7 pm. The event will be at the Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center, 1800 Wahnish Way, Tallahassee, FL.
Patten Holiness Church (Thomasville)
The Fall Festival will have games, jumphouses, hot dogs, hamburgers, pinyata, hayride, and other fun things. It will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, from 4 pm to 7 pm at 10755 GA-122.
Gadsden County Sheriff's Office (Quincy)
Bring the kids out to the Trunks Of Treats on Oct. 31, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm, at Ward's Lot behind the Quincy Fire Department at 110 Stewart St., Quincy,FL.
Thomas County Historical Society (Thomasville)
The Thomas County Historical Society is proud to honor the long-standing tradition of celebrating tricks, treats, and all things Halloween at the Lapham-Patterson House this fall.

- 7pm-9pm: Tours available on the hour, advanced registration required, all ages welcome

Wild Adventures (Valdosta)
Wild Adventures is offering free admission for kids under the age of 9 who are accompanied by a paying adult or season pass holder on Sunday, October 29.
Along with free admission, the park says they will be hosting a "monster-sized" costume contest that is open to children 13 and under, but only the first 100 to register near the front gate on Sunday morning will be eligible to participate.
There will also be trick or treat stations throughout the park, a costume parade, a magical pumpkin patch and a foam pit.
Lowndes County Sheriff's Office (Valdosta)
Sheriff Ashley Paulk is partnering with other first responders to offer a safe Halloween carnival for the children of the community. This family-friendly event provides a carnival atmosphere with games, food, a hayride, candy for the children and much more.
There is a $1 per person entrance fee and the proceeds from the event are donated this year to the Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta. The carnival will be Saturday, October 28, between 5 pm and 8 pm at the Civic Center on East Hill Avenue.
Paulk says the event includes lots of candy and plenty of smiles.
Taylor County Historical Society (Perry)
Taylor County Historical Society is offering a Special Halloween Night Tour of Downtown Perry Haunted History for $25 per person. Remaining tours will be Oct. 30 and 31, with the ones on the 30th running from from 7:30 pm till 9 pm and from 9:15 pm till 10:45 pm. Tours last about 90 minutes. The tours are described as an investigation with the The Paranormal Investigators of North Florida Team. On Halloween night, the special tour hours are 9 pm till midnight. Tickets can be purchased by visiting Rain's Forest Flower Shop or by calling J T Davis at 850 843-0332.
