DALLAS, TX (WTXL) - Ed Werder, who has reported on the NFL for 17 years, has announced that he has been laid off by ESPN.
Werder posted the announcement on his Twitter page, saying that the decision is effective immediately.
He joined the company back in 1998 and was the Dallas based reporter for ESPN. During his time there he contributed to several segments of their NFL coverage to include SportsCenter, NFL Insiders, NFL Live, and Monday Night Countdown.
There's no word yet on what Werder plans to do next.
