TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Chiles High School has hired a new head basketball coach.

According to the athletic director at Chiles, Rick Davis has been selected as the new head coach.

Coach Davis, who has been the head coach at Leon High School for the past nine years, will replace John Langlois, who resigned back in February.

WTXL ABC 27 spoke with Davis and he said it was a tough decision to leave Leon.

The Quincy native said transferring schools had nothing do with basketball but says it's more in line with his daily job duties outside of coaching.

The Florida A&M University alum also served as a coach at Amos P. Godby High from 2002-2006 and Florida A&M High School from 2006-2009 before going to the Leon High School Boys Basketball Program.
