Tallahassee, Fla (WTXL) - Lofty Pursuits is a hidden treasure located off of Timberlane Road in Tallahassee. The shop is known for making Victorian hard candies using vintage candy making equipment. Lofty Pursuits has one of the largest collection of presses, cutters and other hard candy making equipment from the late 1800's in the country.
Their candy cooling table will celebrate its 163rd birthday on March 31. The table weighs in at over 2000lbs and was made in Hartford, Connecticut. Lofty Pursuits will be celebrating this milestone on Monday with free candy samples from 12pm to 10pm.
