MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Madison County Central School was briefly placed on lockdown Tuesday as law enforcement responded to a report of a suspicious person in a nearby wooded area.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office says no suspicious person was found in a wooded area behind the school.
Multiple deputies, including K-9 units, had tracked away from the school near the railroad tracks and Captain Brown Road, the Facebook post said.
The Sheriff's Office said there was no law enforcement activity at Madison County Central School and the lockdown was only a precautionary measure.
