TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The hype was high Sunday for one of the biggest sporting events on the planet, the World Cup.
While the United states was not in the final, or even in the tournament, fans still packed local bars and restaurants to watch the final match.
"This is incredible, the day has finally arrived. Been waiting for this for almost a month," said soccer fan Max Bosenko.
One bar manager says they had to open up early.
"People are definitely into it. People here bright and early when we opened up, so it is probably a good thing we opened up for it," said Alexis Saltrese, Brass Tap Manager.
