TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tomorrow is the first day of Women's History Month and locals are getting ready.
An event is going on in the capital city Tuesday, trying to get women interested in agriculture.
Their goal to get a chapter started in the Sunshine State and to increase people's awareness of the importance of growing and farming food.
The workshop was free and discussed sustainable agricultural resources to assist people and potentially save their lives.
Organizers say, they want to educate people on the opportunities that are available through agriculture.
They also held a gardening project at Havana Magnet School, and are meeting with the Leon County Extension Office.
