TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - People all over the country are reeling after a mass shooting killed at least 50 people in Las Vegas.
People in our area say they were devastated and disgusted, but one thing they didn't feel? Shock.
"I'm honestly not that surprised, which says a lot," said Austin Adams.
"It was almost like any other day waking up in America," said Zach Ruby.
"What is this nation coming to?" asked Victoria Machado.
The nation is now coming to grips with another deadly mass shooting. As the country mourns the tragedy in Las Vegas, many wonder where will it happen next.
"Me and my family, we go to country concerts all the time," said Machado. "It kind of gives you goosebumps because we were just at one last year. It can happen to anyone."
"It definitely makes me more nervous, especially because a lot of people are going to go and buy guns just to protect themselves," said Ruby.
Fear is a common feeling now, but when it comes to solutions, politicians and regular people are still torn.
"I don't think guns necessarily need to be taken away, but there needs to be way more structure when it comes down to what is required of those that are allowed to have them," said Adams.
"Our healthcare system, especially with mental health [is an issue.] People are not getting the help that they need," said Kali Killingsworth. "We need to put in some regulations before things escalate even more. These are people who have brothers, sisters, families too. We just need to put in some action and stop debating."
People WTXL spoke with also say they want to see tighter security at large events and public places.
