TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Zach Bartholmew Trio will be performing live at Backwood Bistro on Friday, December 14. However, they made a stop by the ABC 27/WTXL studio to perform on Sunrise.
The trio is made up of of three young musicians, graduates of the Florida State University Jazz Program, that are trying to make a name for themselves. They recently performed on tour in Europe and on the east coast, however, the members say they want to become known in the Big Bend area.
The group performs various style of jazz, including standards, ballads, bebop, hard bop, Latin, and modern. They also play their own original compositions. The band has worked with various groups and played for a wide variety of audiences. They've worked with the FSU Alumni Association and College of Criminology, played at the Governor's Manion & Club, and performed at many charitable events. They've done jazz educational workshops at middle and high schools, and they were the official private band for Rick Scott's inauguration.
