4-Year-Old Killed in What Tallahassee Police Are Calling an "Accidental Shooting"

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A 4-year-old child is dead after a shooting Monday night, said Tallahassee Police.

First responders said they were called to the house on 826 Dover Street around 10:45 pm.

The victim, Raymond Gaines Jr., had been shot in what police are calling an "accidental shooting" and was taken to the hospital.

The 4-year-old died from his injures several hours later.

Police are still investigating what happened. Investigators from TPD's Homicide Division and Forensics Unit were called in to take up the investigation and collect evidence.
