LOWNDES COUNTY, GA. (WTXL) - The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for an armed robbery suspect.
Deputies were dispatched Monday just after 1:30p.m. to the Dollar General on U.S. Highway 84.
An employee of Dollar General tells deputies she was seated in her vehicle in the parking lot of the business when an unknown person approached her with a handgun and demanded money. When the victim explained she had no money the male fled in a black vehicle, possibly a S.U.V. or a Chevrolet Avalanche.
The suspect is described as a white male, standing 6ft and weighing between 160 to 200 pounds. He is also said to have a gap in his front teeth.
