SHELL POINT BEACH, Fla.-- Wakulla county went sailing to save lives. They hosted the Stephen C. Smith Memorial Regatta in memory of Stephen Smith, a local sailor who died from a rare form of leukemia.
The 40th annual boat racing event helped fight cancer. Hundreds participate every year, including a number of businesses and sponsors. The races were held Saturday April 27 and Sunday April 28. The public is invited to come out to watch the races. On April 28, there will also be a parade and auction.
