BRISTOL, Fla. (WTXL) -- A trial date has been scheduled in the case against former Liberty County Sheriff Nick Finch.
Finch was removed from office in early June 2013 after being arrested by Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Agents with FDLE say Finch destroyed jail documents related to a person who was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
Finch says he did nothing wrong and was only protecting a citizen's second amendment rights.
According to the Liberty County Clerk of Court's office, jury selection is scheduled for September 30; the trial will begin October 1.
