TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- If you miss your dog while you're away at the office, Friday is the day to bring him into work.
June 21 has been proclaimed Take Your Dog to Work Day, a holiday created by Pet Sitters International in 1999. The holiday isn't just about taking your pooch to the office. By celebrating dogs at work, organizers hope it inspires and promotes pet adoptions.
Locally, the Tallahassee-Leon County Animal Service Center is sponsoring free adoptions for puppies and dogs all day during June 21. For more information, visit their website at www.talgov.com/animals.
