GADSDEN COUNTY, (FL) -- The State Attorney has filed a petition against the Gadsden County Sheriff.

According to the office of Willie Meggs, Sheriff Morris Young allowed inmates begin held at the Gadsden County Jail to be released on furlough without judicial approval.

Sheriff Young says that the petition is "all about sabotage" and "totally bogus absurd." He says that the Sheriff's Office has been trying to put in programs to help inmates at the Gadsden County Jail. He says that furlough standards are not set by them.

He also says that there has only been one incident of an inmate on furlough, which involved an man who was in jail for child support. While on furlough, he committed domestic battery.

He says that there have been no other incidents.
