VALDOSTA, GA -- If you're already thinking about how to shed those unwanted extra holiday pounds, an upcoming 5K in Valdosta may be the thing for you.
The New Year's Eve 5K kicks off on Saturday, December 31st at 9pm and offers not only physical activity, but a chance to help feed families in need.
The 5K course is essentially an out and back course around the perimeter of Lowndes High School.
Fees are $10 or $8 if you bring a canned good for a local food bank.
