TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Hundreds came out for the fourth annual Krispy Kreme Challenge on April 7. It was a 5k race through Florida State University’s campus for participants of all ages.
The goal is for runners run two miles, eat a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts and run two more miles. For people who just couldn’t eat that much, there was a “slacker” level for eating one doughnut and a “butterfly” for running without eating any doughnuts.
The event was hosted by the FSU Student United Way, who hosts the race each year. They raised about $500,000 at the event. The money will help fund future service projects.
