TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--One man is being held in the Taylor County jail after deputies say he was driving drunk, caused a serious crash, and took off.
It happened on US highway 19 and state road 51 around 6 p.m. Saturday night.
Deputies say Ernest Eugene Turner was traveling South in the Northbound lane US highway 19 when his vehicle collided with another, then Turner left the scene.
Lafayette County and Taylor county deputies working together eventually stopped turner and took him into custody.
Turner is charged with a felony for leaving the scene, two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury, and driving with a suspended license.
Deputies said a man and woman were taken to Dr.'s Memorial Hospital in serious condition in Perry.
