TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Leon county emergency responders and sheriff's office want to make sure you're strapping your kids in correctly in their car seats.
The Leon County emergency responders and sheriff's office sets up shop in different locations throughout the county multiple times a year. They teach parents how to properly install their car seats and make sure the seats aren't defective
Today they set up the checkpoint between Miccosukee and Blair Stone road. Parents and future parents stopped by to get their children's seats checked.
Paramedics say they check about 250 vehicles during these check points annually. The services are free to the public.
