QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) -- A Gadsden County school principal has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested.

A spokesperson with Gadsden County Schools confirms that Gadsden Central Academy Principal William Blitch has been "placed on administrative leave pending the result of an investigation."

According to a police report from Quincy Police Department, Blitch was arrested April 10 at a home on Magnolia Drive. He's charged with misdemeanor charges including trespassing.

The police report says Blitch refused to leave a neighbor's home after being warned several times. A second call came in a short time later, the report says, again in reference to Blitch

Blitch was also initially charged with public intoxication, however a judge on Thursday dismissed that charge.
