BARWICK, Ga.-- Funeral arrangements are now set for Barwick Police Chief Anthony Q. Barfield, Sr.
A public viewing and visitation will be held on April 15 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Steven's-McGhee Funeral Home at 301 East Green St., Quitman, Ga.
Funeral services will be held on April 16 at 11 a.m. at the Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church at 1880 Simmon Hill Rd., Dixie, Ga. A military burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetary in Valdosta.
Condolences may be sent to the Steven's-McGhee Funeral Home.
Investigators with the Brooks County Sheriff's Office say Barfield Senior died April 9 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. They say it appears he died from natural causes, but his body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy. He was 47 years old.
