TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- As we approach severe weather season, the National Weather Service is looking for new volunteers to train as weather spotters.
The training sessions are offered in an online webinar format that can be done from home.
Meteorologist Kelly Godsey with the National Weather Service says the basic spotter course is recommended for any first responder, emergency manager, or general weather enthusiast.
The 90 minute basic training is geared toward anyone over the age of 10.

Several webinar weather spotter training sessions are scheduled:
Tuesday, February 19 at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m.
