TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Florida Lottery has a new look.
Lottery Secretary Cynthia O'Connell unveiled the new logo Monday at lottery headquarters in Tallahassee to launch their celebration of 25 years.
According to a release, "over the past quarter century, the Florida Lottery has paid more than $37.7 billion in prizes to winners, enjoyed a mutually-beneficial relationship with more than 13,000 retailers and generated more than $24 billion for education. Looking back on all the Lottery has accomplished, we also recognized the need to update, refresh and re-brand our agency to reflect the energy and excitement of playing and winning Florida Lottery games.
"While products and services abound, it is time to focus on the innovative and fresh spirit of today's Lottery," said O'Connell. "We have taken a thoughtful and thorough approach to this new brand in order to develop an identity that is compelling and expresses the energy and excitement that fuels the brand today."
According to the Florida Lottery, various games have provided funding for the Bright Futures Scholarship program, which has sent more than 600,000 Florida students to college since its inception.
