TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- A flash flood watch is issued until 7 pm ET for our far north and western communities including Jackson, Seminole, Miller, and Baker counties.
Conditions are favorable today for flash flooding, and rainfall rates of 2" per hour are possible. Totals will vary anywhere from 3-6" with everyone else outside the watch only receiving up to an inch of rain.
If you see water on the roadway or in low-lying areas, do not drive through it. One foot of standing water can stall a car and two feet of moving water can wash away even large pick-up trucks. As we often say, "turn around, don't drown!"
