VALDOSTA, Ga. -- The Valdosta Boys and Girls Club is joining the National Council of Negro Women for a community-wide family reunion on September 28, 2013.
The event will take place at the Valdosta Boys & Girls Club, which is on 215 W. North Street. The event will feature many local vendors, and Second Harvest is expected to give away free groceries. Local organizations will also be available to provide resources and information.
Historically, the family reunion takes place at the National Council of Negro Women's headquarters in New York, but the Valdosta chapter decided to create an event tailored to the Lowndes County community.
The event is designed to celebrate the family unit and raise money for schools and the homeless.
Admission is free; vendor and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information, visit www.NCNWofValdosta.org, or call 229-234-2353.
