TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Summer vacation included opportunities for learning about various science topics at the B. L. Perry branch of the Leon County Public Library system over the past couple of weeks.
Various experts and presenters give children insight into many aspects of science and related careers, ranging from food nutrition, to bee keeping, to fire fighting, and meteorology.
The weather was featured last Thursday with chief meteorologist Casanova Nurse giving a 45-minute talk to about 30 kids of various ages. Topics covered in the discussion included the four seasons, the water cycle, and different types of severe weather, as well as weather observation equipment.
