TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Members of the WTXL ABC 27 Storm Team spread meteorological knowledge among the students of Roberts Elementary Tuesday morning during the school's Science Day activities.
Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse provided presentations to third, fourth, and fifth-grade classes covering concepts involving the water cycle, the changing of the seasons, and instruments used in weather forecasting and broadcasting from a television studio.
Meteorologist Alex Cordero joined the event for afternoon sessions with younger pupils, featuring fun and interactive lessons about weather terms and the four seasons.
The event culminates into the school's Science Night, with exhibits open to students and families around the campus, along with free food and refreshments.
