VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) -- Students in Lowndes Co., Ga., are studying the weather, and WTXL chief meteorologist Casanova Nurse premiered his "Cas in the Class" presentation series for the academic year with two stops to Valdosta area schools Thursday morning.
Casanova visited fourth graders at Clyattville Elementary, his third consecutive annual appearance at the school, to discuss and highlight meteorological concepts such as the water cycle, and the reasons why seasons change, along with severe weather information and safety tips.
The tour headed north on Bemiss Rd. to the Pine Grove campus, for a similar presentation and chat with the elementary school's fourth-graders. A question-and-answer session followed both talks.
