TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Youngsters received a heaping helping of fun stories Tuesday morning at the Lincoln Neighborhood Center in Tallahassee.
Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse participated as a storyteller in the "Thanks for Reading" event at Brandon's Place, a preschool educational center operated by Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend. Casanova was one of several community dignitaries to read educational books to two- and three-year-old children at a variety of locations in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
Casanova read to about eight children and their teachers and aides. The three books were tales related to counting, colors, and amusing sit-down activities.
If you are a teacher or coordinator of a civic organization and would like to have Casanova or another Storm Team meteorologist to speak to your group, email weather@wtxl.tv with your request.
