TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- There is a precautionary boil water notice in effect for Talquin Electric water members in the Gadsden County service area.

The area includes HWY 90 10/90 area, the Rustling Pines Subdivision, Highbridge Rd, Old Federal Rd, Spooner Rd, Hosford Hwy, Ben Bostick Rd, Sawdust Rd and Atlanta St.  The notice is due to the inclement weather, and only members of Talquin Electric Cooperative in this area are affected.

Those under the notice shouldn't drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using it for drinking or cooking.

Officials with Talquin says the problem has been corrected, and they are collecting samples to assure the water safety.  They will have the results within 48 hours.
