TALLAHASSEE, FL - An area group is hoping to shine a light on the need for foster parents in the Big Bend.

The One church, One Child Black Tie Gala is Friday.

Organizers stopped by the WTXL studio earlier Thursday to discuss what people can expect at the event.

Tomorrow we will be honoring several families who have either fostered or adopted, and we plan to have a great celebration tomorrow night just honoring them as well as bringing awareness to the need for foster and adopted families.

The gala kicks off about 6 tomorrow night, and will be held at the Donald L. Tucker civic center.

The cost is 70-dollars per person or 130-dollars per couple.

Attendees can expect live music, a silent auction, and a special program dinner.

It's all about raising awareness for the need of foster and adoptive parents, in addition to honoring current foster and adoptive parents.
