LEON COUNTY, Fla. -- A suspect accused of more than a dozen vehicle burglaries in northwest Leon County has been arrested, according to the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
The department received 15 vehicle burglary reports in less than a week, between February 1 and February 6, 2013. The burglaries took place in the areas of Longview Drive, Faulk Drive, Queenswood Drive, and Shady Oaks Drive.
In order to catch the suspect, the sheriff's office released surveillance photos. A resident called the office and identified the suspect as 22-year-old William Jacob Bithorn. Detectives were able to connect fingerprints from four of the burglaries to Bithorn.
Detectives found Bithorn at his home and arrested him. They also recovered stolen property from the home, which included electronics and a gun.
Bithorn was taken to the Leon County Jail. He faces three counts of burglary of a conveyance, and one count each of armed burglary of a conveyance, attempted burglary of a conveyance, grand theft of a firearm, grand theft, petit theft, and violation of probation.
Bithorn may face additional charges due to the ongoing investigation.
