Update: Andrew Wilson was sentenced to serve life in prison for the attempted murder of his estranged girlfriend, Gabrielle McKenzie, and the stabbing deaths of her father, John McKenzie, and her then new boyfriend Patrick Pittman.
Patrick's aunt spoke in court asking for the severest form of punishment, the death penalty.
Both families also requested that if Wilson were to be given life in prison that he be sentenced to serve as far away from Wakulla County as possible.

CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Convicted murderer is still facing the death penalty when he goes before a judge this afternoon.
A Wakulla County judge will sentence Andrew Wilson at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday for the March 2011 attempted murder of his estranged girlfriend, Gabrielle McKenzie, and the stabbing deaths of her father, John McKenzie, and her then new boyfriend Patrick Pittman.
In June a jury recommended Wilson be sentenced to life in prison without the possibly of parole.

While judges typically follow the jury's recommendation, it will ultimately be up to Judge Charles Dodson.
