MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - Ladies learned about firearms at an event at Talon Gun Range in Midway.
It was held by a group called the Well Armed Woman of the Big Bend.
They taught women tips about gun shot wound first aid, how to make a tourniquet, and other tips to help defend and protect themselves.
"Our whole concept is how to educate equip and empower. We want women to be comfortable with protecting themselves protecting their family," said Patricia Buhler, Well Armed Women of the Big Bend Chapter Leader. "We want them to know how to defend themselves with a firearm."
The Well Armed Woman of the Big Bend hold meetings at Talon Range every third Sunday of the month.
