TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Capital City Democratic Women’s Club hosted their 14th annual Golden Democrats Recognition Gala at Capital City Country Club.
Ten men were honored for their contributions towards women in the community.
Patty Ball Thomas, President of the Capital City Democratic Women's Club, says in past years they honored women but the club decided to change things up this year.
"So often at least for our club we have recognized women, because it is the Democratic Women’s Club, and so most of our honorees well precious honorees have been mainly women, so we are just doing it a little different this time," said Thomas.
The proceeds will go to Democratic primaries winners for the general election.
