TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - A business owner who started her company out of her garage, is now taking over the giftware, dining and decor industry. Founded in 1995 by Laura Johnson, Coton Colors makes handcrafted pottery. Johnson says Coton Colors was born out of a desire to make any occasion a celebration.

The dining and entertaining company offers everything from ornaments to agenda books. Coton Colors sells it's products to over 3,000 stores across the nation, and they also have international clients.

Although the company is now a leader in the gift ware, dining and the decor industry, Johnson says she doesn't forget where they got their start, "One thing I would say to Tallahassee is thank you, because they were the incubator of cotton colors and they still are."
