TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Local residents are taking back the community one cheer at a time.
The Save our Sons and Daughters Initiative hosted a football and cheer leading camp Saturday. Tabernacle Baptist Church and the franchise sports agency partnered up with other community organizations to host the event.
Organizers hope teaching kids the fundamentals of football and cheerleading will deter them from violence and ultimately teach them to become leaders in every aspect of life.
