TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - More than 1,000 people are expected to sit down for a meal and meaningful conversation with others in the community on Sunday.
This year, the Longest Table will span more than 1,000 feet down FAMU Way between Wahnish Way and Pinellas Street. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Organizers said this initiative seeks to bring together residents from diverse backgrounds with the goal of building and strengthening relationships to improve the quality of life in the Capital City.
Local residents, elected officials and representatives from the city and county governments, are all expected to be in attendance.
They said a free dinner will be provided by locally owned caterers. A complimentary shuttle will be available from state Garage C at the corner of Adams and Bloxham streets to the event location.
