TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee dentist opened her office to veterans Friday, May 20, to make sure vets without insurance get the dental care they need.
This is the 4th year in a row Comprehensive Dental Care has opened it's doors on a Friday when they are usually closed, to provide free cleanings, x-rays, and exams for veterans without insurance.
Over 20 veterans were seen Friday, with dental hygienists from all over the community coming to Dr. Toni Cifrodelli's office to help.
Dr. Toni says the cause is so important to her because she has loved ones in the military.
"We wanted to reach out to the community to try and get some awereness on all that our veterans do for us everyday," says Dr. Toni, "and this was an opportunity to start off with something as simple as an exam and x-rays and a cleaning, and a chance for some education, and a chance to say thank you for serving."
Friday's event is not the only way the office helps veterans. They also offer 20 percent discounts to vets all year round.
