TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Organizers in Tallahassee are gearing up for the Martin Luther King "Dare to Dream" festival.

Festivities kick off Monday from noon to 4 p.m. at Cascades Park.

Special musical guest "Tallahassee Night's Live" will offer entertainment.

Food and craft vendors, kids activities, and historical exhibits will all be on hand.

The free event is open to the public, organizers stopped by the WTXL studio Wednesday to tell us what residents can expect.

The Dare to Dream festival coincides with the City of Tallahassee's annual "Day of Dialogue."

Attendees are encouraged to give back to the community with a volunteer service site at Cascades Park.
