TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Over 53 children will get gifts on their wish list this year.

Thanks to the HCA North Florida Division and the Capital Regional Medical Center.

They're teaming up to sponsor kids from the Big Bend Community Based Care, Covenant Care, and Children's Home Society.

And they're going mostly to kids in Bay County and the areas affected by Hurricane Michael.

They've raised more than $42,000 to purchase items and will donate $10,000 worth of necessities and toys.

"It's a way to give back to the community we love the opportunity to care for our neighbors care for the children of our community and some of these children either lost parents or on hospice them selves as their going through  life changing events so its and opportunity to give our team or leadership team or hospital give back to the community that we care so much about," said CEO and President of Capital Regional Medical Center, Alan Keesee.

The groups hope to bring cheer after the devastating hurricane.They'll give kids their gifts on Christmas Eve.
