TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A local organization is helping children fight cancer by raising funds for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The Santa Shuffle is hosted by the Tallahassee Network of Young Professionals (NYP).

Participants are encouraged to wear their ugliest Christmas sweater or to dress up as their favorite holiday character.

Organizers say, they want people coming out to have fun while giving back.

“We are honored to be in a position to raise money for such a crucial nonprofit organization on the frontlines of fighting childhood cancer and giving families hope,” said NYP President David White. “The NYP Santa Shuffle is more than just a pub crawl, it is an opportunity to bring young professionals together for a worthy cause while celebrating the holidays and our great community.”

The Sixth Annual Santa Shuffle is open to all young professionals in and around Tallahassee. Tickets are $30 for current NYP members and $35 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased online now through December 10.
